Elvish Wire Wrapped Jewelry by Lunarieen

Put your hand up if you are a Tolkien fan!  If you are one then you will love Lunareieen's "world of elven mystery and faerie whispers".  Kasha Mielnik is the UK based Polish artisan behind LunareieenUK on Etsy Her beautiful wire wrapped jewelry has such a distinctive style, you could easily picture them on Galadriel or Arwen.

Blood Rargosh II
Her wire wrapped oxidized silver (sterling and fine) pieces are stunningly created using a variety of colored gemstones.  The designs feature the combination of sharp angles and curved lines so captures what we consider as elvish elements.

Winner of the Marilyn Gardiner $50 Gift Certicate Giveaway

Many of you admired Marilyn Gardiner's chain maille designs from last week's gift certificate giveaway.   It's no wonder as they are innovative and really stylish - great for both informal and formal occasions.

Her chain maille kits are also useful for anyone wanting to learn how to chain maille. What people need is all there - instructions and the right number and type of rings.  The size of the jump rings is crucial for a particular weave so having someone figure it all out makes all the difference.

She is a seasoned instructor given her teaching background. So her instructions both written and oral have been admired and commented on.

I numbered all the eligible eager entries and consulted the random number generator over at random.org.  The winning number was assigned to Jan G !  Congratulations!

Awesome Leather Cord Bracelet Tutorials

Bold leather bracelets are a hot trend.  So here are some awesome leather cord bracelets to get your creative juices going.

Pam Leach's Forget Me Not Blossom bracelet tutorial on Beads Direct is simple but stunning as the bloom is formed by threading mounted crystals onto 3 cords.  You don't have to use crystals either - large hole beads will work too.

Using more than one cord is what makes all these bracelets eye-catching. Claire Humpherson's Luxe Owl leather cord bracelet tutorial shows how a gorgeous focal charm can set these bracelets off.

Bead frames are great findings to use.   Instead of using them to enclose beads, consider this clever leather cord bracelet video tutorial which weaves in and out of several frames with a bit of knotting.

Large metal rings are good alternatives to bead frames.  There are so many different kinds available out there.

The clasps used in the above tutorials are all designed for leather jewelry such as the Regaliz line.
