I always do my best to check out the profiles of followers for it's one great way to find wonderful designers to feature. Another artisan who joined my Twitter community was Clarity Collins. She is the creative artist behind Scrollwork Designs.

Many artisans distinguish themselves via their chosen technique. Wire work, polymer clay, chain maille and in Clarity's case, metal smith. Others are known for the materials they use, for example, paper jewelry. But Clarity is unusual as she often focuses on a design element which, as you can guess easily from her shop name, the curling scroll.

Below is her Medusa Agate and Sterling silver bracelet.

I also love her contemporary styled pieces like the Cosmos which is made with sterling silver, fine silver and a titanium druzy crystal.

This is her Key to the Kingdom pendant, an OOAK (one of a kind) design which features a Padparadscha sapphire. (see my past post on The Bi-Color Gemstones).

Scrolls delightfully form the hair of this OOAK Siren Song pendant! She was in her zen place for 8 hours while creating what she called a "Really Good Idea", stopping only for bathroom breaks!

Clarity explained, "The siren-song of a *Really Good Idea* can make you work like a dog until your fingers clench and your muscles wrench and your body cries for relief while your mind hums a happy little tune and insists that despite the blood, sweat, and tears you're having the time of your life.

My husband calls it being 'cracked out', as in "Sorry kids, it's pizza for dinner tonight, your mother is cracked out at the bench and wouldn't notice if the house burned down!"

I can relate. In my household, it's more like "Do we have to fend for ourselves for dinner/lunch again?"

Scroll Wire Work Chain Necklace Tutorial

Some wire work projects are worth the effort you put into them. One such example is the wire work necklace tutorial by leopardstripes on Craftster.

This awesome chain necklace featuring an art clay pendant is fashioned from scrolled sections linked together. Some beaded wire work accents are spaced out along the necklace which gives more visual interest plus an opportunity to match the pendant.

What is so useful is the instructor's detailed pictures every step of the way. Also note the double scrolled wire piece which serves not only to link the two halves of the necklace but provides the place to suspend the pendant. Neat!
