What Did You Say? The Hear Ring? Posted: 29 Jul 2011 04:00 AM PDT It's not the first time I've come across hearing inspired jewelry. But the plastic Hear Ring is a retro first! It reminds me of ear trumpets which were invented in the 17th century. The designer is Gina Hsu who describes it as "a ring with a large audience". It's certainly a discrete way of amplifying sound without wearing a tell tale hearing aid! Related Articles

Bejeweled Cake or Display Stand Tutorial Posted: 28 Jul 2011 03:29 PM PDT Sarah over at the Glamour and Grace blog has a lovely tutorial on how to make a bejeweled cake stand. The large crystals dangling from the lace trimmings are just as scrumptious as the cakes! But other calorie-free ideas include using the decorated stands to display ornaments.
