I need to share a big opportunity with you that dropped into our lap just days ago.
This November, more than 10,000 Deaf athletes, coaches, and supporters from over 70 nations will gather in Tokyo for the Deaflympics. For two weeks, they'll be together in one place — and many of them have never seen the name of Jesus signed in their heart language.
We have an unprecedented opportunity, but we need to act quickly. When we realized what God was putting in front of us, we knew we couldn't ignore it, which is why we need your help.
Our trained team of IMB missionaries is ready to go — ready to meet people face-to-face, give away Olympic pins to start conversations, and share the good news in sign language.
But here's the thing: if we can't raise $110,000 by August 31, we can't send them.
Your gift will do two things:
- Fund thousands of pins that open the door to gospel conversations
- Cover the travel costs so the missionaries can be in Tokyo for the entire Deaflympics
The Deaf are one of the least evangelized groups on earth. This may be the only time these 10,000 people will hear about Jesus in a language they understand.
