Good morning. Tucker Carlson and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee recently sat down for a nearly three-hour discussion that grew heated at times as the two wrangled over Christian Zionism, the rights of modern Israel and how Christians are treated in the Holy Land. CNN teased an hour-long documentary last week about so-called Christian nationalism, which has prompted pushback for appearing to link an alleged rise in the ideology to Charlie Kirk's assassination last fall and warning about the influence of classical Christian schools. A Christian first-grade teacher in Tennessee claims that he was threatened with termination and reassigned to a new position after requesting religious accommodations to avoid reading books that promote same-sex marriage. In the opinion section, Robin Schumacher writes that theologians have different lists as to the various interpretations of the Genesis week. But no matter the list, when due diligence is performed into what they actually assert versus the caricatures presented by their detractors, they all affirm at least two things. |
