Barb Wire Inspired Jewelry Tutorials Posted: 02 Sep 2011 04:00 AM PDT In order to be creative, one also has to be observant. Much of the world around us can inspire. But I would never have thought ordinary barb wire could be a source of inspiration until I came across these tutorials! Cat Morley's Barb Wire Wrapped Heart necklace tutorial on Cut Out and Keep is a standout. It's not just how she managed to simulate the look of barb wire from jewelry wire but how she created the heart component and embedded her faux barb wire. She melted down pony beads! Nora C. also on Cut Out and Keep came up with a really easy cord or leather barb wire bracelet tutorial. This design can be made into a choker. It's simple and will suit those who are metal allergic very well! You can also buy ready made leather barb wire. The Faux Barb Wire bracelet tutorial is designed by Sara Hardin for Soft Flex, the beading wire company.
