Our August 31 deadline has passed, and we did not reach the full $110,000 needed to send a fully equipped missionary team to the Deaflympics this November. We are prayerfully trusting God to provide the remaining $50,924 so the team can go totally prepared.
Why does this matter so much?
Because in just a few weeks, more than 10,000 Deaf athletes, coaches, and fans from over 70 nations will gather in Tokyo. Many of them have never seen the name of Jesus signed in their heart language. For some, this may be the only time they meet a believer who can share the gospel in a way they truly understand.
But God has opened another door.
A generous partner has offered a $25,000 Matching Challenge — just for first-time donors to the IMB.
