 Apogee Therapeutics (APGE) went to bed Friday at about $90 a share. It woke up Monday at $132 and change. AbbVie announced a $10.9 billion all-cash acquisition at $135.11 per share, a 49% premium. Both boards signed off unanimously. The target is zumilokibart, a late-stage IL-13 antibody for atopic dermatitis and asthma. AbbVie is spending $10.9 billion to build a Dupixent challenger. Dupixent generates over $14 billion a year. The math on why they wrote that check is not complicated. The deal signals something bigger about where large pharma is placing bets in 2026. The window between phase 2 data and a phase 3 readout is when these acquisitions happen. Watch Regeneron and Sanofi when the APG777 data lands.
