Designing Necklaces Using Multiple Hoops or Loops Posted: 11 May 2011 04:00 AM PDT Linking hoops is one way to add circular designs in jewelry making. But grouping multiple hoops together really ups the visual interest especially if you use colorful beads. Jaimielee over at the Hippopotamuslee blog scored big with her inspired Frenzied State necklace tutorial. It's fun and easy to do. The colorful necklace is dynamic - as it moves when the wearer moves. That's why she named it the way she did! Another excellent idea is the Fruit Loops necklace tutorial from Beadaholique. It's a great way to use up short lengths of leftover beading wire as well as odd collections of seed beads. The rainbow selection of bead colors make this such a delicious design. I think I might try and mix in crystals as well if I have a go. This Gypsy Hoops Necklace tutorial below is by Cat Morley for Beads Unlimited on Cut Out and Keep. She used both single hoops as well as connected ones in her necklace focal. She uses special connectors but I dare say some wire working will work too! I agree with her, this could also look good in a belt design. More Hoop and Loop Tutorials
