How to Add a Hollow Charm Embellishment Posted: 12 May 2011 04:00 AM PDT I've come across hollow charms before. What I would do is punch a hole in it so I could hang it with a jump ring. But what if you want to attach it directly to the jewelry? The hollowness means there is not enough surface for glue to hold. Riveting will not work either because the charm is 3 dimensional. Her way works for designs where the charms remain whole and are glued on to the design. I agree with Michelle, the tutorial "opens up a whole new set of possibilities!" Other charming ideas :

That's because jewelry makeover projects are a hot trend right now. If you're lucky and have a stash of old broken jewelry and want to do something other than a jewelry makeover project, consider recycling them to decorate your home! Earlier this year, Laurie over at the Tip Junkie blog showcased her wonderful jewelry monogram design tutorial. She created it for an accessory store called Charming Charlie. It was also a giveaway which has since closed. But the video instructions are there to make your own! The jewelry she deconstructed consisted of broken pieces with rhinestones missing and the like.
