Hi, friend! |
Over four million books are published each year, so it’s no surprise we spend most of our time chasing the latest releases. There’s always something new and shiny to get excited about. |
Today, though, I want to focus on the quieter side of my TBR—three books that just sort of showed up one day. You know the kind, and I’m willing to bet you’ve got a few of them, too. |
Plus, in case you missed it, we’ve got last week’s Insider Picks with Emma Brodie!
Yours, |

Emma Brodie’s Insider Picks |
We recently had the pleasure of speaking with Emma Brodie, author of this month’s Reese’s Book Club pick, Into the Blue! She shared some of her current favorites—including a five-star romance, a hidden gem, and the show she can’t stop watching. (Hint: It takes place in a galaxy far, far away.) |

Zermatt Utah Resort & Spa |
The Vibe: Alps energy |
The Location: Midway, UT |
Instaworthy Activities: |
Tucked in the mountains between Park City and Sundance, Zermatt Utah Resort & Spa takes inspiration from the Swiss alpine village it's named after. European-inspired architecture, alpine courtyards, and a full-service spa set against the Wasatch Mountains make for a stunning year-round escape. The 250 rooms and suites are all furnished in traditional European style with modern amenities, most with mountain or village views. World-class skiing, snowmobiling, and fly fishing are a short drive away, while the property offers indoor and outdoor pools, off-road vehicles, a mini golf course, an award-winning bakery, and more. Plus, in summer, kids can ride the iconic carousel! |

The Stack | Three Books That Snuck Onto My TBR |
|

Sometimes I seek out book recommendations, and sometimes I stumble across them. Here are three of my stumblers, and if you feel like discovering something unexpected, these might just hit the spot. |

The Cruelest Miles: The Heroic Story of Dogs and Men in a Race Against an Epidemic |
by Gay Salisbury and Laney Salisbury |
I was reading an article about this year’s Iditarod winner and realized that, while I don’t want to learn anything more about this competition itself (I don’t support animal-based sports!), I’m very intrigued by the enormous act of courage and human-canine partnership behind it. Word is that this is the best book about it! |

The Artist’s Way |
by Julia Cameron |
I’m hoping to unlock some of my dormant creativity, and everywhere I turn, this one keeps popping up. In fact, even the cashier helping me at Barnes & Noble said, “Wow, this one’s a classic. People love it. Good luck.” Okay, challenge accepted. |

Still Life |
by Sarah Winman |
I was mindlessly scrolling on Instagram the other day, looking at who-even-knows-what. Luck was on my side, though, and I fell into a “feel-good recommendations” groove, where this book popped up on two totally unrelated lists. Is it fate or just the algo? |
