A Slice, an Egg Cream, and a Table Covered in Newspaper |
There was no milk in it and no egg either, and the man behind the counter made it in eleven seconds without looking at his hands. |

News for the America we remember |
A slice cost fifteen cents and you ate it standing up. |
That was the correct way. There were two small tables in the back that nobody used, and a shelf along the front window at the right height, and you stood at the shelf with a paper plate and folded the slice lengthwise so the tip did not droop. Everybody folded. You learned it by watching, around the age of six, the way you learn anything. |
The crust was thin and it had char on the bottom, black blisters from the deck of an oven that had not been cool in thirty years. The cheese slid if you were impatient, and the roof of your mouth paid for it, and it was worth it. There was a shaker of oregano and a shaker of red pepper on the shelf, both crusted at the holes, and a stack of napkins that were useless. You blotted with them anyway. |

One Shark Missed Billions… Another Saw This Coming |
|
|
Imagine turning down Uber at a valuation of $10 million, only to watch it go public at over $80 billion. |
That’s exactly what happened to Mark Cuban… a 799,900% return, gone. |
But original Shark Tank investor Kevin Harrington built his career doing the opposite: spotting asymmetric opportunities before they go mainstream. |
Like Uber turned vehicles into income-generating assets, Mode Mobile is turning smartphones into income streams. |
They were named the #1 fastest-growing software company by Deloitte and have already helped their users earn and save over $1B. |
Kevin Harrington invested early. |
And at just $0.52/share, you can still get in before their potential IPO. |
Secure shares at $0.52 while the pre-IPO window is still open. |
Potential Uber return for Marc Cuban does not take into account dilution. |
The Deloitte rankings are based on submitted applications and public company database research, with winners selected based on their fiscal-year revenue growth percentage over a three-year period in 2023. |
