BeadifulNights' Beaded Ring Tutorials

Posted: 24 Oct 2012 04:00 AM PDT

I review a lot of tutorials. So I am always delighted when I come across a passionate beader who likes sharing good designs. Aleshia or BeadifulNights on Youtube is one such designer who I featured before. One of her latest tutorials is her awesome cocktail beaded ring.

Her exquisite beaded ring tutorial is not just for making rings but the design is versatile enough to be made into a pendant too. Alisha uses 10 lb fishing line for her rings because she likes the strength and avoids the need for needles. But I can't see why you can't use Fireline if you are partial to that material.

She was able to color code the ends of her fishing line so making it easier to see which end goes where. It saves her from having to identify them by right hand or left hand "threads".

Her chic beaded ring video tutorial is very adaptable as you can easy vary the bead sizes to your liking. She used 1x 7 mm and 2x5 mm beads for the main ones in the tutorial.  She also suggests to use 1x8mm and 2 x 6 mm beads.   If you're game for more delicate rings, consider 1x6 mm and 2 x 4mm beads.  Using really small seed beads for the rest of the ring might help keep a balanced proportion.

Aleshia's fun Beaded Button Ring tutorial has inspired me to check out my button stash!

Her sunburst beaded ring tutorial is very versatile as the main design can be used as a pendant or earrings. She included a video of a terrific hail storm happening while she was making this video. It seems she was having a weather related day!
