How to Make Beaded Pumpkins

Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving earlier than our American neighbors.  It's this weekend!  So I wish all my Canadian readers a very Happy Thanksgiving!  With Halloween round the corner, October sure is one orange month with pumpkins popping up everywhere.

The easy beaded pumpkin charms tutorial above are by Jennifer over on the Prima Bead site.  Whip up some for earrings or as a simple pendant.  Jennifer used monofilament to wrap the strung beads around a wooden bead.  Alternatively, use wire which would be what I would opt for as it will save having to make the wire coils separately.  Wrap the wire ends around the head pin before making those cute little wire coils.

Meredith over on the My Magic Mom did make her pumpkins with beads and wire. You can make these any size. Maybe tiny ones for earrings. Meredith glued the beads in place but wire wrapping them is another possibility.

I don't know about you but a pumpkin pie is also in my immediate future.  Enjoy the weekend!
