It would be expensive to use a thick sterling silver metal sheet to make something like these stamped pendants. Not to mention having to first saw and file the pieces. The solution is easy - go faux silver with the use of silver leaf!
The polymer clay tutorial is by Tamara over on Etcetorize. Tamara says the silver leaf will adhere to the clay after it is baked. The foolproof method is to also add some sort of sealant afterwards.
Gold leaf will work too. I would also try this with epoxy resin clay - the no bake method. The adhesive of this clay will make the leaf stick for sure!
