How to Bead Bezels for Swarovski Rivolis

Swarovski rivolis are beautiful but they are somewhat like cabochons in that they need something frame them before making them into earring dangles and pendants. The most common beading approach is to make a peyote bezel.  Here is one excellent tutorial by Deborah Roberti over on Around the Beading Table.

Rivolis have pointed centers on both sides so the beaded bezels can add depth at the edges so the rivolis become less pointed.  I like how Deborah's tutorial also includes several inspirational designs which showcase the beaded bezels.

If you have difficulty with the above method, then check out Cathy (That Bead Lady)'s great tutorial which starts out as a flat netted pattern at the back.  Clever!

It doesn't have to be seed beads either.  Sara Spoltore's video tutorial on how she uses superduos to create bead bezels for a 14 mm rivoli. Clever!
