This really easy way to transfer ink jet images to wood by Steve Ramsey could also be used for custom wood jewelry.
His very short video tutorial shows how he uses the backing for inkjet label sheets to do the transferring. These are the sheets which normally get thrown away. So save them to reuse for your next wood jewelry project.
This technique also requires you use a
porous surface like wood. It will not work with non-porous material like metal or glass etc.
As wooden jewelry pieces -either bought of self made - are much smaller than the wooden board used in the tutorial, several images (photos or art designs) will have to be prepared on the same backing sheet. Carefully cut up each image so they can be transferred one at a time to the appropriate wooden piece.
Sealing afterwards would be a good idea.
I do like that vintage effect. Do you?
