How to Make Copper Tubing Frames for a Resin Pendant

Local hardware stores are great sources of copper.  Copper tubing used in plumbing is arguably the most useful for jewelry making.  I have covered some tutorials before (see links below) but this one from Resin Obsession is an excellent idea. The DIY shows how to make copper tubing frames for a resin pendant.

You do need a tubing cutter which is very easy to use.  If you have a handyman at home, you might already have one you can borrow!

So once cut and sanded the deep rings are placed one inside the other on a sticky tape surface.  The instructor used masking tape but you can also use adhesive shelf liners, packing tape and so on. It is then a matter of making up the 2 part epoxy resin, coloring it and pouring into the space.

Did you know bacteria doesn't grow on copper?  Check out this past post : Copper is Not Just for Jewelry.
