Finding healing through ministry

Dear Friend,

Anora, a Central Asian believer now living in Prague, used to think serving in the church seemed to be a duty and way a Christian should give back. But over time, she discovered it was much more.

Diane In, an IMB missionary serving in Prague, first met Anora when she attended the church where Diane and her husband, Luke, serve.

Diane said she identified with Anora because they are both "Martha" by nature.

"Both of us relate in that way where we feel very strongly that God created us with the character of a Martha, where we see all these things not getting done, but then wanting to have the heart of Mary to sit at Jesus' feet and worship, and having that balance," Diane said.

Diane discerned Anora's heart for service and how the Lord gifted her to inspire others to do the same and recommended her for a leadership role in the church.

Through her service, Anora not only found a family of faith but also began to experience God as relational and near — a far cry from the distant, impersonal image she once had before committing her life to Christ. Her involvement in the church became a place of connection and encouragement, especially during difficult times. And now, Anora is using her own experience to encourage others to serve, helping them discover the same blessings that transformed her life.

This story is just one example of how IMB missionaries are making a lasting impact in the communities where they serve. By pouring into others and building authentic relationships, these missionaries are bringing hope, healing, and the love of Christ to those who need it most.

I encourage you to read Anora's full story and be inspired by the powerful work that God is doing through His servants around the world by clicking the link below:
