Dear Friend,
Can you imagine how difficult it would be to understand the love of God if you did not have access to the Word in your heart language?
Think of the amazing messages and beautiful worship songs that bring you closer to Christ and stir your affections for God. Members of the Deaf community are often prevented from experiencing opportunities like these.
That's why I want to tell you about our StoryOne camps where God is opening doors that were previously closed.
Limited educational opportunities and a lack of accessible Scripture make it challenging for Deaf individuals to hear the message of Christ in a way they can understand. Yet, through StoryOne camps, funded by the IMB, God is opening doors for the Deaf to know Him.
Moses*, a hardworking young man in Uganda, longed to share the gospel with others in his community. But without strong reading skills, he didn't know how. Then, he was invited to a StoryOne camp—a place where Deaf individuals learn to share the gospel through sign language, stories, and pictures.
When Moses arrived, he saw something remarkable—stories of Jesus displayed on the walls in drawings he could understand. It was a breakthrough moment. He realized that God had equipped him to share the gospel in a way that didn't require reading. He didn't need to be afraid—God was with him!
You can help more Deaf individuals, like Moses, receive the tools and training they need to share the love of Christ in their own communities.

- Pray for Moses as he signs the stories of Jesus to other Deaf in Uganda.
- Pray God will direct Moses to those with hearts open to the gospel.
- Pray God will use StoryOne camps globally to help Deaf people encounter God's Word in meaningful ways, even those who have attended churches for decades.
Together, we can ensure that no people group is left without access to the gospel.
