Cambridge Naturals @ BevNET HQ | | Brands traveled to Boston to meet the Cambridge Naturals team - an independent natural products retailer that's been in business for a whopping 51 years! Their small but mighty store in Cambridge, MA is jam-packed with ~16,000 SKUs including new and emerging and legacy brands alike. Brands had the opportunity to not only demo at the epic BevNET HQ, but they got their products into the mouths and hands of the CN team. A few brands even flew in -- from Texas and New Jersey! This is an undeniable trend for Grocery Run as we see more and more brands making the journey to meet their most desired retailers all over the U.S.! Attendees had an exclusive panel opportunity that gave them deep insight into what's on the minds of buyers at Cambridge Naturals. Here are a juuuust few things that stood out for us (there was a lot!): - The baby / kids and pet sets are looking to grow (is that you?!)
- When you ship your products to the store -- don't forget an invoice! Put it in the box, email it, or better yet - do both! Help get your products out of the box and onto shelves faster!
- Take a look at your brand's story. CN buyers see a lot of versions of "I started this brand because I was sick" or "I started this brand because I had a skin allergy". While these are good stories, they might not help you stand out. They recommend trying to find a unique way to share your story because there are unfortunately LOTS of brands that are using the same language -- how can you differentiate and stand out??
