A Tiny People Pendant Necklace Tutorial

Posted: 01 Oct 2011 04:00 AM PDT

Cathe Holden, the contributing craft editor for Country Living Magazine and the blogger behind Just Something I Made is truly creative.

She created a wonderful mini folk charm necklace tutorial which represents her family. The tiny people necklace is a different take on family name necklaces or even birthstone versions.

You can get all sorts of tiny vials these days for jewelry making. What sets Cathe's tutorial apart is the use of N scale model people typically sold to model railway enthusiasts. The N scale is 1/148 of real size. It's not even the smallest scale  - Z scale is 1/220 and T scale is about 1/450!

The N scale people for most part fit the vials she had. Each miniature diorama had faux grass which is also available from model railway suppliers and a bit of blue ribbon for the background. Just neato!
