Glass Pebble Cabochon Pendant Tutorial

Posted: 19 Oct 2011 04:16 AM PDT

A reader, Judy Larson just wrote an email to me last night with an amazing gesture.  I have never before seen a jewelry tutorial lovingly created and freely given in memory of someone.

Judy explained, "I have yet to see a pattern using all those "glass beads" you find on the bottom of a floral arrangement vase or in the bottom of an aquarium.
When my daughter-in-law found out her grandmother had terminal cancer, I contacted Grandma June to find out if there was anything I could do for her.  She asked me if I could make something for all the granddaughters using the pebbles she lovingly placed in the vases lining the aisle at my son and daughter-in-law's wedding.
This is the pattern I came up with.  I have been making my own jewelry for over 40 years and could not believe I had not come up with this design before now.   You are more than welcome to give it away."

And so I am. Judy did a fantastic job with the pdf tutorial below which you can download and print out.

I'd like to think this is a modern day version of Tibetan prayer flags, not so much fluttering in the wind but being disseminated in all corners of the world via the internet. Thank you, Judy!
