Mattia Bonetti's Necklace Table Designs

Posted: 23 Dec 2012 04:00 AM PST

Jewelry can also be a source of inspiration for other designers. Swiss-born designer Mattia Bonetti joins my growing collection of non-jewelry artisans who nonetheless appreciate personal adornment.

His custom made necklace tables feature strings of "beads" like they were from a broken necklace, forming the supporting legs. What an imaginative take for furniture design! His unique design was used in the stylish Fifth Avenue Manhattan apartment library design feature in last month's Elle Decor magazine issue.  The interior designers were Timothy Haynes and Kevin Roberts.
