Faux Feather Jewelry Tutorials

Ticklish? You don't need to use real feathers for jewelry if you are!  Just use their general shape as a design element and make them rock!  Check out these necklace tutorials for inspiration. They all use different approaches.  This gorgeous embroidered peacock pendant tutorial was designed by Emily who writes The Boy Trifecta blog.

Don't sew?  Try Alisa Burke's painted faux feather pendants over on the iLoveToCreate blog. It is definitely for those who love bold colors.

An easy way to make a pair of faux feather earrings is just to cut out a suitable shape from leather scraps and cut slits along the sides.  Check out Transient Expression's tutorial for the instructions.  You can dress up this basic how-to in a number of different ways.  Paint it, glue flat back crystals to it or even layer it up with other components.

This stunning polymer clay faux feather necklace video tutorial is by My Mandarin Ducky on Youtube. The mica powders add a touch of elegance.  It deserves to be called the Night Out necklace.
