Stock Market Inspired Bracelets by Paul Kweton

Paul Kweton is a trained architect with a keen eye for innovative designs.  He has came up with several projects including his stock market inspired jewelry collection called Embrace.

He is adapt with different types of software programs including AutoCAD and a special stock visualization program which enabled him to draft his unusual nylon and sterling silver bracelets.

The patterns come from any time period in stock history and are translated into actual products using the selective laser sintering process.

Selective laser sintering is a form of an increasingly popular manufacturing method called rapid prototyping where limited but cost effective runs are produced.  The old way of making huge batches to lower costs is actually wasteful as the products may have to be heavily discounted or even trashed if the demand wasn't there.

The laser is used to fuse small amounts of the materials slowly, building up to the required 3-D mass. This very brief video illustrates the process.
