How to Remove a Stubbornly Stuck Ring

Ah, the joys of getting older. My fingers have gotten larger so much so that I had to have my wedding band resized not too long ago.  Getting it off was a job.  I tried the twisting method while gently pulling but to no avail.  Luckily it did come off with a bit of olive oil.

Some sort of lubricant such as soap and water or cooking oil, is what most of us try if the dry method doesn't work.  But there are a few more tips to consider from Wikihow.

Making use of gravity is one.  Raising one's arm up for a few minutes will help reduce the fluids in the fingers.  Try removing the ring after that.

Placing your hand in a bowl of cool water might also help.  Rings tend to be looser on cold days and sometimes uncomfortable on warm days.

But the neatest trick has to be the dental floss one. So head on over to the Wikihow post and see how it is done.
