THE BEADING GEM'S JOURNAL

Easy Satin Cord Wave Macrame Bracelet Tutorial

Macrame bracelets are not always hemp or leather.  Satin cord or rat tail cord really does add a touch of elegance to knotted designs.  This easy satin cord wave macrame bracelet tutorial is an absolute gem from the Macrame School.

It is a video tutorial.  So if it is your first time trying to learn in a video format, try pausing or stopping the video and back up to watch a step again.

Note you will need large hole beads that will take the satin cord. Not too keen on using a lighter to seal the cord ends? Try using a very small dab of glue.  Let it dry and trim close.

I also don`t think this design will be as effective with say, leather. During the knotting process the satin cord compresses down in a rather different way than other materials.  The result is a shiny elegance!
