How to Make Flower and Leaf Imprint Resin Tiles

Gardens are a-blooming!  Now is the time to get floral inspirations from your backyards.  It is definitely the time to collect flowers and leaves -  so many plants bloom in the spring.  But if you find trying to press and dry flowers too tricky, consider making flower and leaf imprint resin tiles.  This video tutorial by Mark Montano is actually for making home decor tiles.  But it is easy (and cheaper) to scale down to sizes suitable for jewelry making!  I am definitely going to try this!!

You will naturally need to find smaller flowers and leaves if you are making pendants rather than kitchen tiles!  Composition will be so much fun to do!

Mark uses a torch to get rid of the bubbles quickly. Not keen on torches?  For smaller projects like pendants, try blowing across resin surface with a straw.

Be sure to check out my past post on different ways to color resin.

H/T Aims for this find!
