Illustrated Lamp Work Bead Art by JC Herrell

One amazing lamp work bead artist is California based, JC Herrell.  She specializes in stringer work. The results are astounding illustrated lamp work bead art!  Just to be clear, her hand made glass beads are NOT painted nor are decals involved. She uses glass lines on her glass work.

She is self taught.  Her journey in lamp work began in 2000 while she was still working as a corporate trainer. She became addicted to melting glass and became a full time lamp work artist in 2005.  She began teaching how to enamel on glass in 2007 and later added stringer work to her repertoire.

Some of her inspirations come from nature such as her floral and bee designs. Her Vincent van Gogh inspired designs are gorgeous too.  But JC also has a quirky sense of humor as you can see from her bacon and egg beads!  Her ability to "paint" in glass is indeed awe-inspiring.

You can see more of her work on her delightful Instagram.
