Maybe I am partial to making earrings. But I do believe making smaller items is a good way to learn a technique. That way, one does not have to struggle with a much more complicated and larger project.
This lantern like macrame beaded bead earrings tutorial is a gem. It is by Yuna Titarenko (aka as Makramania) on
livemaster.ru.
It's clever how the knotting starts around a jump ring at the top of the "lantern". The different sized beads add color and shape to the project.
It is a wonderful change from making stitched beaded bead earrings, isn't it?
The tutorial is in Russian so you might like it translated although the pictures alone are very clear.
