Making a pair of interchangeable ear wires is one way to save money on precious metal wire! You could just slip dangles on and off as you wish.  I've featured other design ideas before (see this post) but this one by wire artist, Rena Klingenberg is particularly striking because of the front facing spirals.


This is a good tutorial on how to make consistent open spirals.

I agree with her that when you are metal allergic and cannot wear anything but the more expensive niobium or at least 14 K gold, then these earrings are the way to go/
