In just 7 days, the window to send our missionary team to the 2025 Deaflympics in Tokyo will close.
Why does this deadline matter so much? Because this November, Deaf athletes, coaches, and fans from more than 70 nations will gather in one place — and for many, it could be the only time in their lives they encounter the gospel in the sign language they use every day.
This is a God-ordained moment and we want to be there to share the gospel. We may never have another moment like this again.
Our IMB missionaries are ready — fluent in sign language, experienced in cross-cultural ministry, and partnered with Japanese Deaf churches who will continue discipling new believers after the Games.
But we must raise $110,000 by August 31 to send them.
If we miss this deadline, we cannot be there. Thousands may leave Tokyo never having met a believer who speaks their heart language.
At the Deaflympics, pin trading is a treasured tradition. But our team will use each pin to open a conversation about Jesus — often with someone who has never heard His name.
