Whimsical Zipper Brooches by Woolly Fabulous

Just when I think I have seen all possible permutations of zipper jewelry, along comes another artisan whose work just blows my mind!   Odile Gova Desgroseilliers is a fellow Canadian who makes delightfully whimsical zipper brooches for her Etsy store, Woolly Fabulous.


She crafts her brooches using a combination of zippers and felt. You can see the approximate technique here. (Odile has a tutorial in her store, BTW). The felt is upcycled from wool sweaters that she finds at places like thrift stores.  She hunts well and has a strong sense of color because her creations are so vibrant.



Odile has an uncanny ability to "draw" with zipper teeth as outlines with felt infills.  Totally unique! You can see more of Odile's work on Flickr .
