Many of us like to make cord bracelets with buttons as the closure. One option includes using shank buttons so the cord passes through the shank hole. Or if the cord is thin enough, then it is passed through the holes of the button. But what if you want to use really thick rope and neither these two approaches work?
The solution is to sew the button on! This idea comes from
Erin of Thanks I Made It's tutorial where she uses a really pretty vintage rhinestone button with a shank.
If rope is so not your thing, try using thick leather cord. If you do, either color the cut and exposed end of the leather or hide the ends completely with the thread wraps.
