Vicki Butler (Miss Vicki to her friends) and her crafty and handy husband are the creative duo behind
Tzaddishop on Etsy. Based in Denver, Colorado, they are graphic designers so naturally gravitated to some pretty awesome decoupage jewelry. Their unique work is detailed, colorful and looks richly textured.
Their designs are decoupaged onto either glass or metal bases with their proprietary coating which they developed over the years. These are all reversible as there are complimentary designs at the back. Shown here are some of my favourite designs.
Nature themes are common in their work. But their inspiration comes from a wide variety of sources like Japanese kimono silks or even the beautiful tiles and art from the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain.
They have also designed wallpaper collections and home decor textiles for companies worldwide including two collections under license for Cirque du Soleil, the Canadian theatrical company. Besides Cirque Su Soleil, they have branched out to develop merchandise for various companies, the Arts Festivals in California and Colorado as well as merchandise for non-profit fundraising. It is not hard to see why their work is in demand.
