Wire Wrapped Cabochon Ring Tutorial

Wire artists usually use prongs and bezels to add cabochons in ring designs.  But Malfait Luciu Jewelry has a wire wrapped cabochon ring tutorial which uses bands of wire and coiled wire to hold onto the off set cabochon. It is not hard to do. Just fiddly especially at the part when the wire bits go over the ends of the cabochon.

Her design process does require that you carefully unwind sections. So nylon jaw pliers will be handy if you need to straighten the wire before coiling again.

It takes a little practice with wire to make the coils as evenly as she does them!
