Liana Kabel's Vintage Knitting Needle Jewelry Posted: 05 Jun 2012 04:00 AM PDT Australian artisan, Liana Kabel says, " With a Tupperware lady mother and a jeweller father what else was I going to be but a jeweller obsessed with plastic!" Not just any plastic but often vintage knitting needles too. Her creations from this humble material is nothing short of inspiring! One of her most spectacular designs are the necklaces shown above. The colorful plastic is strung on stainless steel wire. She also coils the plastic needles into rings with the end tabs becoming the focal elements! Liana's strong sense of color is evident as is her wonderful creative ability to transform what are essential long straight plastic rods into jewelry. Via Before You Go:
