Whimsical Woodland Inpired Felt Jewelry by Lizzie Needles Posted: 19 Jun 2012 04:00 AM PDT Whimsical and adorable jewelry are always crowd pleasers. UK based Lizzie Pearce is an artist and her take on whimsical is drawn from fairytale, folklore and nature. I might add the children's books by Beatrix Potter too because I can easily imagine these felted creations right by those sweetly illustrated books. Her shop on Etsy has delightful felt brooches, rings and necklaces. Shown above is her White Rabbit brooch with vintage flowers. If you look closely, her exquisitely executed rabbit ring even has a faintly pink nose! You can just imagine it twitching away! My children had a set of Beatrix Potter books when they were little. If you have seen them too, then you would remember Diggory Velvet, the mole. That's what this cute mole brooch reminds me of. Her fox head and tail pendant also reminds me of the mischievous Basil Brush the fox in the well known British children's tv series. Lizzie also makes fascinators besides jewelry. This rabbit one definitely evokes meadows with its tiny mushrooms and flowers. Before You Go:
