Using Real Leaves for Metallic Polymer Clay Earrings

There are all sorts of leaf polymer clay tutorials.  However, I like this one because it uses something free from the garden instead of molds.  Leaves!

Santa from Fracmatic showed how she uses ordinary leaves to cut out the clay as well as make the imprinted pattern over on the What the Craft blog.   She cleverly used shimmery eye shadows to add the metallic colors to the clay.

This tutorial is a good reminder to consider all sorts of things - like filigree findings - to make imprints. Also experiment with the other types of clay - epoxy resin and precious metal clay.
