Being able to work with wire doesn't mean you are confined to just jewelry making. Those skills can be put into good use around the house. I just love Amanda Risius of
Hammer and Heels' wonderful tutorial which shows how to make a bead and wire chandelier.
She dresses up a plain light fixture and transforms it into a modern chandelier. What is utterly brilliant is her creative use of the wire frame from a hanging basket. A simple spray painting job changed it from its original black.
Amanda used ready made crystal garlands from Michaels. However, it is easy enough to twist up some wire with beads here and there. Just look closely at Amanda's pictures.
The silver and clear beads are ideal for the traditional chandelier color but you could also use other colors to suit your decor.
