I was quite surprised with the number of entries for
last week's giveaway of a Craftsy soldering class. I was expecting far lower numbers for
Gwen Youngblood's Soldering: Basics & Beyond workshop over on Craftsy. But evidently, many of you were keen to move on to a new technique and a few had the equipment but needed someone to guide them. One such reader is Linda who said,
"I haven't had much luck soldering with my butane torch." Chrissi also made a very good point,
"Although I went to silversmithing classes at college I like to take lessons from other tutors, just to see how other people work, you can pick up tips and they may even work in a way that is better fitted to you." I couldn't agree more!
Although lots of people solder - like for electronics - it is better to learn from a jewelry making instructor if jewelry is to be your end product!
I numbered all the eligible entries and got the random number generator over on random.org to pick the winning number. This number was assigned to
Denise Kruz! Congratulations!
