Stenciled Polymer Clay Tube Tutorial | Focals for Cord, Kumihimo, Beaded Tubes and Wire work

Okay, I admit it.  I've actually bought curved polymer clay tubes before for my beginner jewelry making students.  But if you are already dabbling in polymer clay, then it pays to learn how to make your own. So watch this tutorial by Shannon of Charleston Clay Studios. She teaches how to stencil and make polymer clay tubes.

You can either hang the tubes vertically as pendants. Or use the curved versions horizontally and string them as the focals in necklaces.

The great thing about making tubes of your own is being able to customize the sizes.  I would make them larger. Then consider using them strung on kumihimo or plain beaded tube work.  I would certainly combine them with wire coils.
