Easy Beaded Lariat Rocks Edwardian Style

A sautoir is a long necklace often with a tassel. This Edwardian favorite is still popular today.  See my past post on how to make an easy silk cord sautoir with a single Cloisone pendant and chain tassel. However, the double tassel sautoir - simply knotted at the front - was also favored. See this antique seed pearl version.

You don't have to use pearls to make this lariat style.  Seed beads will do as you can see from this easy beaded lariat tutorial by Bronzeponybeadedjewelry. The list of materials used is in the youtube description area.

The instructor uses a larger bead as the foundation to bead the ball.  She also demonstrates how to use either a crimp cover or a larger hole bead for the top of the balls.
