THE BEADING GEM'S JOURNAL

More Rainbow Jewelry Tutorials

I find rainbows fascinating. There are so many types - glory rainbows (round rainbows) and the Brocken Spectre which supposedly early terrified mountaineers.  But they are lovely for their colors.  So here are more rainbow jewelry tutorials to inspire!

Marjorie over on the Living with 3 Moon Babies blog has a lovely idea not just to use rainbow colors but to add "raindrops" to her rainbow pendant.

Maggie shared this easy double flowered rainbow hued bracelet tutorial on her blog, Stranger than Vintage. I really liked her idea of stacking 2 lucite flowers together.  She used eye pins. Her design was confined to the front of the bracelet which will suit those who are a little more understated.

Kimberlie Burkhart Kohler's lucite flower bracelet tutorial on her lbog goes all around.  She uses head pins.  She sometimes stacked up to 3 lucite flowers together!

Jenny created an artist palette shrinky dink pendant tutorial on her blog, The Experimental Crafter,  What's inspiring is how she fused the plastic with perler beads to get the rainbow colors.  I agree with Jenny, fusing shrink plastic needs to be done on glass.

Using rainbow colors will work in other jewelry designs. Another example is the Crystal Rainbow bracelet by Michelle Smith over on the Michaels site which will require color arrangement of the many dangles.
