THE BEADING GEM'S JOURNAL

An Assortment of Snowflake Tutorials for Jewelry Making

Well, if you can't beat winter, why not celebrate it with some awesome snowflake jewelry? Shown here are non-beading projects (more beaded snowflake tutorials soon) to inspire using different materials.  Don't forget shrink plastic!  The material is frosty and perfect for snowflake pendants or earrings.  Ellen Luckett Baker has the tutorial and the template over on her blog, The Long Thread.

A quick way to make a linked snowflake focal for necklaces is to use brass stampings - either pre-colored or self colored white.  Flat backed Swarovski crystals adorn the brass stampings tutorial from Beadaholique.

A little basic metal work such as this snowflake stamp necklace coupled with a crystal snowflake by Cindy Morris for Rings and Things is yet another technique approach.

This bead and twisted wire snowflake tutorial by Create Your Crafts is meant for an ornament.  But I think it can be converted into cool earrings too!
