How to Make Wire Coils Saw Cut Jump Rings Using Inexpensive Tools Most of us just resort to machine cut jump rings or try to cut our own with cutters. The best way to get really clean cuts is to do it by hand using a jewelry saw. But I often see it done on bench pins like this one. It looks like an awkward angle to work on as the bench pin is usually on the same plane as the table. So check out this nifty tutorial by Julia Lowther of Shoebox Studio. She first shows how to coil wire using her own winder and a cheap set of transfer punches ( Harbor Freight for US readers and Princess Auto for Canadians). There is no need to purchase expensive equipment if you need to make lots of jump rings! More importantly, she shows how she adapts a hardware store truss clip. It can then be clamped onto the table. The angle she suggests looks so much better for working. Before You Go:______________________________ Original Post by THE BEADING GEMJewelry Making Tips - Wire JewelryTips - Jewelry Business Tips
