She uses thin sheets of metallic colored polymer clay and lots of patience to carefully create and place the folds in just the right manner.  Then it is a matter of getting the colors where you want. Imagine!  No hammering or torching needed!   She also created a pair of rose polymer clay earrings which also uses polymer clay fold forming.   H/T to Aims for this find!
