Bead a Ring with Adjustable Ring Bases

Posted: 05 Nov 2011 04:00 AM PDT

I have a collection of unused 8-loop adjustable ring bases  in my findings box just waiting for the right project to come along.

And it has. Just check out the lovely Nicole beaded ring tutorial from Ornamentea.

The Swarvoski crystal ball adds a touch of bling to this cocktail ring design.  Note that the ring is constructed using Soft Flex wire which is extra flexible for the knotting.  Or try a double strand of Fireline.

More Word JewelryTutorials

Posted: 04 Nov 2011 12:00 PM PDT

Words and books occupy a huge part of my life.  Are they yours, too? Here are some tutorials to inspire in celebration of  the books and words which enrich our lives.

Paper jewelry makers take note, a couple of these are right up your street. Use magazines if cutting up old books gives you heart palpitations!

The first bracelet tutorial though is not paper but an embroidered chunky word cuff shown above by Cassie over at the Drummbellina blog. It's a good project for those who are metal allergic.

Alma Stoller came up with her paper bangle tutorial which are a big hit with teens! This craft project uses protective varnishes.

Mandy over at the Mandipidy blog is a super crafter who came up with her Book Page Necklace tutorial.
