Bracelet Tutorials with Hardware Clasps

Next time you run out of clasps, run to the hardware store instead of the craft or jewelry one. These alternative closures are fun and make the pieces unique.

I'll never look at a wing nut the same way after I saw Kate's clever macrame bracelet tutorial over at Minieco.co.uk.


Jenni's neon bracelet tutorial over on her blog I Spy DIY  uses brightly colored rope and anchor shackles all from her local Home Depot.

Erica of Honestly... WTF was also inspired by the same wrapped chain on leather cord bracelet by Ornamentea I wrote about before (see second link below).  Her version though uses ball chain and brass hex nuts.

As you can see, these are all quick and easy to whip up.  Wear several on your wrist or give them away as gifts!
